There is no "Best." Builds in PvP are designed for a specific team role. Depending on what you want your warrior to do, you give him different skills//weapons.

The standard is probably the axe since you want a nice spike and the deep wound from Eviscerate. If u are doing GvG you'll most likely have another warrior in the build and they might run something other than axe. I don't like shock with a hammer as I find the energy management diffucult (of course i could just suck) since you tyically use other energy based attacks and perhaps sprint instead of rush.

A lightsabre would work, my only beef is that you can't use Sever Artery with it : (

Yes, hammer warriors do carry shock, however not for spam purposes.

Shock is probably best on an axe since you need the least attack skills on an Axe to be effective. Sword and Hammer builds need at least 3 skill combos, while the main spike in an axe build is Evis+exe. Leaving you more room for utility skills like bull strike/distracting etc etc

People seem to misunderstand what shock is actually for when they watch top guilds play it. It doesnt matter how much energy your build "needs" you can't spam it regardless. It's primarily for a pre spike knockdown to stop a target kiting or a monk healing. In certain cases you can use it for a cheap interupt but don't go spamming it on every caster you see.

Personally I find having a hammer war knock down for a spike works fine, shock is just there for flexibility with splits and ganking.

Seriously don't run this in RA or something if that's what you were planning (a lot of people do). Bull's Strike is far superior for anti kiting because it's much more spammable and it KDs your target at your feet whereas with shock targets gain distance on you during the cast.

I wouldn't bother with shock on a Hammer. Of course you don't spam the thing! That would be even worse. I prefer w/n with plague touch which is far more useful imho. If you have a speed burst, once you have charged up all your adrenaline skills you can track down your target and use your lead attack which is always a kD anyway with another KD mixed in the chain. Shock is just unecessary.

Shock on hammers is kind of useless since you have access to a variety of knockdown skills that don't cause exhaustion. Also using shocks cuts down on how often you can spam irresistable blow. Shock is best used on swords and axes.

Shock is just another way to drop someone without having to hit them with your hammer. Works good in cases where you are blind, stacked with anti warrior curses, etc. Not a spam skill of course, but useful none the less when you need someone on their arse.
